Pulau Aman is really a peaceful island. There are not much things to do, but you can experience the simple and harmony lifestyle, walk around the island, see the Malay traditional house, digging for shell fish at the beach, enjoy fresh and delicious seafood in this island.
Pulau Aman is Malay name which mean” Island of Peace”. It is a small fishing village in Penang. The only way to go to the island is by boat, you may get a boat at the Batu Musang Jetty in Batu Kawan, Seberang Prai.
If you drive from Penang island, cross the Penang bridge and then exit Bukit Tambun and continue to Batu Kawan. The signboard along the road will show you the direction to the jetty.
The boat ride is about 10 to 15 minutes, the fees for adult is RM6 for two way and Child is RM 4. The boat from Puala Aman started from 8am to 6pm, and from Batu Musang Jetty is 9am to 7pm. The boat ride is every 2 hours.
Mee Udang ( Prawn noodle) is famous food in this island, most tourist like to order this food at the restaurant near the jetty. They also like to buy a seafood from the seafood seller then ask the restaurant to cook for them. The restaurant will charge some cooking fees.
