Penang Rojak is a famous and delicious food. Some people call it ” Fruit salad”.
Rojak consists typically of pineapple, raw mangos, benkoang (jicama), cucumber, wax apple. Others ingredients like cuttlefish, deep- fried tofu, you tiao, prawn fritters etc.
All ingredients cut into bite- sized portions and mix with the shrimp paste. Then put some crushed peanut on top.
Rojak is dark in colour, the paste is stickier but it taste good because the fruits is fresh, you may taste the natural sweet, sour of the fruits.
You can get a plate of rojak at hotel restaurant or hawker stall. Just try it!
