Highlight： Traditional food and handcraft stall, traditional food workshop adn the food making demonstrations.
Our concept of organising this year’s Meng Eng Soo Open Day is to promote traditional food, especially the ritual and festive food. Therefore, we add in new elements in this annual event, which are traditional food workshops and the food making demonstrations. The purpose is to educate public about the history of these foods and to encourage them to hands on and learn. In order to enhance the visit experience, we do set up an ancient kitchen in Meng Eng Soo for visitors to have a look at the old times kitchen design as well as some ancient kitchenware. Lastly, not to forget the traditional food and handcraft stalls that attracts a lot of visitors yearly.
