Penang Botanic Gardens is a popular place for recreation among locals. It is Penang’s unique natural heritage.
This 30 hectare gardens was set up in 1884 under the supervision of Charles Curtis of, who was the first superintendent.
Penang Global Tourism, the State Tourism Bureau organize “Guided Walk @ Penang Botanic Gardens” every last Saturday morning and Sunday evening of the month. The main object is to let the public knowing the gardens.
Eco tour guide Joseph Teoh will guide the public to walk around the gardens. He will introduce the garden to public with different topic, such as Curtis Trail, Choosing Plant for Home, plants that Heal, Plant Animal Relationship, Culture and Traditions with Plants.
