Chinese Sausage “La Chang” (腊肠) is festival food. It is dried and hard usually made from pork, some are made with chicken, pig livers or duck livers.
Even thought we can buy or eat La Chang whole the year, but people still interested to buy and eat it during Chinese New Year. La Chang is also a gift for friend and relatives during Chinese New Year.
In old times do not have refrigerator, Chinese people use salt and seasoning to keep the meat, one of that is La Chang.
