Char Koay Kak is one of the Penang famous hawker food. It is similar as Char Koay Teow but the taste is different.
Char Koay Kak is Teow Chew traditional food which made by steaming rice flour batter which cools to form a firm pudding like cake. Then cut to small pieces and fried with Chinese Chives, bean sprout, salted radish (Chai Por), soya sauce, garlic, egg and chilli.
Most of the Penangites know that there are a stall at Macalister Lane selling Char Koay Kak for more than 40 years. It is run by three sisters .They are very friendly and they have a lot of loyal customer.
